![]() ![]() They go from 30 to 5 in almost every night/day transition, when anything happens thats a "cutscene" and any other time there are more than 5 things moving on the screen. Buy on another system if you want to play this game. The game is fun enough, but it doesn't run on Switch. Please make us all a favor and ignore our console. Devolver, if you don’t have the technical chops to make your game run as it should on the Switch, please have some decency and respect for your customers, and don’t try to scam them into paying 25$ for a half baked, buggy game that can’t even maintain a proper 30 fps. Most of them are less expensive than Cult of the Lamb. Many of these games are much more demanding in performance, some of them fully 3D. ![]() Devolver, if you don’t have the Hades, Diablo 3, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Bastion, The Binding of Isaac, Into the Breach, Enter the Gungeon, Neon Abyss, Dead Cells…these are just a few examples of games I own running at a flawless 60 fps on Switch. You can wishlist it on Steam now.Hades, Diablo 3, Dragon Ball Fighter Z, Bastion, The Binding of Isaac, Into the Breach, Enter the Gungeon, Neon Abyss, Dead Cells…these are just a few examples of games I own running at a flawless 60 fps on Switch. It doesn’t even bother me that it’s full of blood, guts, and sacrifice - it’s worth it.Ĭult of the Lamb is set to launch sometime in 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. A definite recommendation to anyone who enjoys roguelikes or games with cute cartoon graphics. ![]() Its distinct visuals and bloody premise complement the game in a way that makes it more than just a roguelike hybrid. In short, Cult of the Lamb is an adorable yet disturbing roguelike city-building game that hooked me in with its premise in a mere 20 minutes. It might not have as many customization options as Animal Crossing’s pixel art, ramp and bridge-building, and foraging options, but the general gist of scavenging and building is there. You can chop wood, mine rock, pick berries, and build your city (cough, cult, cough) to your liking. The animal characters and hideout greenery also heavily resemble Animal Crossing: New Horizons. For example, you can sacrifice followers to grow more powerful, though it does limit your clan's growth. Other upgrades don’t show up until later. Cult of the Lamb incorporates one weapon and one ability, which are mapped to two buttons. However, it’s not quite as layered an experience as Hades, which involves building an entire set of combos to slay foes. What is it like? Well, it definitely gives off some Binding of Issac vibes, considering the grotesque monsters, cursed backstory, and cartoonish graphics. In this case, Cult of the Lamb encourages you to feed followers, assign them chores, and give them sermons. The city building part - as strange as it might sound - is similar to Fire Emblem: Fates checkpoints, where the player has to check in with their soldiers to work through supports and upgrade their equipment. However, followers can grow bitter if you don’t keep them happy, fed, and safe. Followers gather resources, build homes, and complete chores to enrich your cult’s life. You’ll have the chance to try many abilities, including tentacle ground spikes. ![]()
